Conversation Workshops
Live sessions structured around real dialogue scenarios — markets, transport, negotiations. Groups are capped at 8 participants so everyone speaks in every session.
Four distinct workshop types, each addressing a different stage of engagement with Italian language and culture.
Live sessions structured around real dialogue scenarios — markets, transport, negotiations. Groups are capped at 8 participants so everyone speaks in every session.
Structured grammar work tied to real texts — newspaper columns, recipes, film dialogue. Each module targets 3 to 5 specific structures with exercises built around authentic material.
Thematic deep-dives into Italian regional identity — from the architecture of Puglia to the culinary logic of Emilia-Romagna. 6 sessions per region, each with a collaborative project.
Practical written Italian for real purposes — emails, formal letters, academic summaries. Participants submit 2 drafts per assignment; feedback is specific and comparative, not general.
Sessions are offered across 3 time zones. Most tracks run once weekly with a 90-minute session and 2 hours of independent work in between.
All live workshops are capped at 12. Conversation groups stay at 8 max — a decision made after running larger groups in our first year and observing the drop in speaking time per person.
Completion certificates are issued for all tracks of 6 sessions or more. They reference CEFR level and demonstrated competencies, not attendance alone.
Each session has 3 phases: a short input segment (no longer than 20 minutes), a practical task done in pairs or small groups, and a debrief where participants articulate what they noticed — not what they learned.

Not every service suits every learner at every stage. Here's a plain breakdown of where each type fits best based on goal and available time.
For learners who can commit 4–5 hours per week. The combination produces the fastest measurable improvement in both fluency and cultural comprehension.
Asynchronous delivery means no fixed schedule. Participants working 2 hours per week on targeted writing tasks see consistent structural gains within 8 weeks.
A single 6-session region cycle works well for travellers, professionals, or learners deciding whether to commit to a full language track.
Ideal for self-directed learners who have tried apps but want something with more substance. Works as a standalone or alongside conversation workshops.
The contact page has a short question form that helps match you to the right track. Or read through the methodology page first — it explains how the session structure was designed and why.
